As a man, your health is important and it’s crucial to stay on top of your wellbeing. Our Well Man Health Check has been specifically designed to assess your overall health and identify any potential health risks.

You will spend 45 minutes with a specialist health screening doctor, and undergo blood tests to check your liver function, thyroid, risk of heart disease, diabetes and more. You will also receive a prostate check and screened for testosterone imbalance.

Following your check up, you will receive a detailed report outlining your test results and a personalised health plan to meet your specific needs and lifestyle.

What does the health check test for?

Our Well Man Health Check can rule out a variety of health conditions and concerns including:

A comprehensive health screening report detailing your results

Speedy onward referrals if required

Prescription for medication if needed

Blood and urine tests

Full blood count – Gives a good indication of your overall health. Can detect signs of inflammation or infection, iron or B12 anaemia and clotting disorders.

Urinalysis – Checks your overall health, but specifically diabetes, liver disease or kidney disease.

Liver function – Checks how well the liver is functioning and tells us whether there is any inflammation or damage to the inside of the liver.

HbA1c – To check for diabetes.

C-reactive protein – Checks for inflammation or infection in your body.

Urea and electrolytes – This tests how well the kidneys are filtering the blood plus the overall balance of electrolytes and minerals in the body.

Thyroid function tests – Checks for thyroid disorders including underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism) and overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism).

Lipid profile – Checks for signs of heart disease, liver disease and diabetes.

Calcium – Important for healthy bones and teeth. Calcium helps your nerves, muscles and heart function properly.

Uric acid – Checks for gout and kidney stones.

Glucose – Checks for type II diabetes.

Iron – Checks for conditions like anaemia and iron overload.

Ferritin – Checks for iron-deficiency and therefore anaemia, inflammatory conditions or liver disease. 

Vitamin D – Checks for any bone disorders.

Prostate Specific Antigen test – Checks for prostate cancer.

Testosterone – Checks for low or high testosterone levels in the blood.
