Imaging and Diagnostic Suite

Our team are experts in their field and have developed an enviable reputation for delivering superior scans, coupled with excellent reporting by leading national specialist radiologists. We are recognised by all major private medical insurers and offer self-pay options.

CT Scanning

We are pleased to offer a brand new state-of-the-art Toshiba CT scanner providing faster and more efficient scanning with lower doses of radiation. A CT scan (sometimes called CAT scan) is a painless x-ray test that helps clinicians diagnose and treat medical conditions. CT imaging uses special x-ray equipment to produce a number of images of the inside of the body. A computer then processes them to produce cross-sectional pictures of the area being studied.

MRI Scanning

Our MRI Siemens Avanto FIT 1.5 Tesla at 9 Harley Street enables a significant reduction in examination times due to an enhanced system performance incorporating a state-of-the-art interface which provides improved image quality and workflow. A magnet combined with completely safe radio waves allows internal pictures to be generated by exciting part of the water molecules inside our body. MRI is entirely painless and non-invasive. It involves no x-rays or other types of radiation.

X-Ray Examination

The FDR Visionary Suite combines a wide range of applications targeted to improve diagnostic capability and a precise design to facilitate imaging along with unique image processing functions that enhance quality while reducing the operational dose rate. We are able to provide a wide range of applications including long view imaging, lower limb and spine imaging.

X-Ray Examination

Ultrasound Scanning

The Aplio 500 provides crystal clear images consistently across a wide variety of clinical specialties including MSK and vascular imaging. An ultrasound image is produced by a machine that sends high frequency sound waves through the body and then records the echoes (sound waves) that return. The returning echoes are recorded by a computer and displayed on a screen. Ultrasound is an incredibly versatile imaging modality that is commonly used for almost any soft tissue area in the body. We can offer faster appointment times and find diagnostic solutions quickly all in one scan. With the most modern technology available you can reassured of reliable and accurate results.

Ultrasound Scanning

Dexa Scanning

DEXA (DXA) is short for dual energy X-ray absorptiometry. DEXA scanning is used by doctors to test bone density, an important factor when it comes to diagnosing osteoporosis and assessing bone health.  DEXA scanning is usually used to assess the risk of osteoporosis and fracture but it can also be used to measure body composition including body fat. It is a painless scan which can usually be done in less than 30 minutes while lying comfortably on an open scanner. The scan does use X-rays but the dose for the patient is extremely small often less than daily background levels of radiation.

Dexa Scanning

Gynaecology Scanning

Ultrasound scanning is an important diagnostic tool in women’s health care. It can be used to investigate all types of gynecological issues including abnormal bleeding patterns, possible causes of pelvic pain and the diagnosis and treatment of fibroids, endometriosis and oavarian cysts.

Early Pregnancy Scanning

We recognise that early pregnancy can be a worrying time and so we are happy to carry out scans to alleviate anxiety. We also perform “dating scans” to accurately date the pregnancy.

Bleeding and or pain are relatively common early in a pregnancy but understandably these symptoms are very worrying for any couple due to concerns about either miscarriage or more rarely ectopic pregnancy. In most situations, a reassurance ultrasound scan provides the peace of mind needed to enjoy the pregnancy.
