Our Management Team

Our management team, led by Chief Executive Andrew Barker, are all healthcare experts and pride themselves on delivering excellent care for our staff and patients.

The team are responsible for the day to day running of the hospital and developing plans for its future expansion. Andrew is supported by key heads of department, each with a specific brief to ensure that Phoenix Hospital Group delivers exceptional care.

Chief Executive Officer

Andrew started his career in the City in Mergers and Acquisitions and listed company corporate services before moving into healthcare management. Andrew then spent 11 years at the London Clinic, where he was responsible for operational management, governance and quality, strategic partnerships and the development of key stakeholder relations including the introduction of a number of innovations regarding Consultant engagement.  Andrew developed and executed the real estate strategy which delivered the strategic change from a single site to a campus based hospital, including the landmark Cancer Centre and new diagnostic and outpatient facilities.

Andrew joined Phoenix Hospital Group in 2013, initially on a consultancy basis to advise on strategy and latterly was appointed as Group Chief Executive. Andrew has been responsible for the rapid transition of Phoenix to a thriving independent hospital group.

Angus McIndoe

Angus McIndoe

Medical Director

Mr McIndoe is one of the foremost UK consultants working in the field of Gynaecological Oncology today. A New Zealand native, Mr McIndoe qualified in 1980, after which time he moved to the UK. He was Lead Clinician for Gynaecological Oncology at the Hammersmith Hospital for many years, and Chief of Service for Gynaecology.

Mr McIndoe will work with the board and management team at Phoenix to champion excellence and ensure we maintain a safe and welcoming environment for patients and consultants. Mr McIndoe will provide clinical leadership and ensure the interests of consultants are reflected as Phoenix grows and evolves.

Head of Finance (FCCA)

After graduating as a Chartered Certified Accountant, Sandeep moved into Private Healthcare and has not looked backed since – gaining invaluable experience at HCA and the London Clinic amongst others.

Having joined Phoenix in late 2015 – Sandeep feels very privileged to be able to contribute to a growing company where the environment is challenging and exciting, yet very personable at all levels.

Aleksandra McNee, a registered Nurse Prescriber has worked in healthcare for over 15 years in the United Kingdom and Internationally. Having worked across a multitude of specialties within the NHS and the private sector, she has also spent many years inspiring, managing and supporting teams in the development of clinical services.

In her role at Phoenix Hospital Group, Aleksandra is the Director of Operations, encompassing the Weymouth Street Hospital, Outpatient and Diagnostic Centres and Phoenix Laboratory. She is responsible for driving the operational delivery to ensure Phoenix Hospital Group maintains its excellent levels of safe, high quality and effective care for all service users.

Theo Luck

Director of Quality and Clinical Development

RN, RNC, BSC (Hons), BSC, Dip HE

Theo is a dual qualified critical care nurse who has worked in many of London’s leading teaching hospital including Great Ormond Street, King’s College and Guy’s and St. Thomas’.

As Director of Quality and Clinical Development for Phoenix Hospital Group, Theo has built and led teams in the production industry and health care, most recently at The Whittington NHS Trust and the Harley Street Clinic where he managed Surgical Services.

At Phoenix Hospital Group, we are committed to providing first-class clinical and nursing care. We employ dedicated, highly-trained staff at every level, to ensure that patients receive the best possible personal care and to make their stay with us as comfortable as possible.

At The Weymouth Street Hospital as well as our team of nursing staff, we have Resident Medical Officers (fully-qualified doctor) available on-site, 24 hours a day and an in-house Pharmacist.

A comprehensive Hotel Services team, including caterers, porters, and front of house staff, are there to help ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible.

At 9 Harley Street and 25 Harley Street we have an expert team of Radiographers and specialist nurses to support our Consultant Clinics.

Staff Training and Professional Development 

All clinical staff are professionally registered and undertake regular training, including basic and advanced life support, infection control, health and safety and customer care. In addition, staff undertake numerous post-graduate educational courses to ensure that patients benefit from the latest advances in clinical care.
