Memory Clinic London

As an exclusive private clinic on Harley Street, we are renowned as both a centre of medical excellence and one of the best private memory clinics in the UK. We established our specialist led private memory clinic in 2019, with the sole aim of improving the quality of life of people with dementia and Alzheimer's.

To achieve this, we combine a highly personalised approach with cutting edge technology, advanced brain imaging, same day diagnosis and the latest scientific research.

London

Why you’re here

The first thing to say here is that no concern, symptom or worry is too small or insignificant to mention, and we will always listen, take you seriously and give you sympathetic, friendly, expert advice.

Our patients and their loved ones come to us with concerns such as:

  • Not being able to recall conversations
  • Finding crosswords more difficult
  • Brain fog or momentarily forgetting where they are/where they’re going
  • Restless or unusual behaviour
  • A family history of dementia or Alzheimer’s

If any of these sound similar to something that’s worrying you or a loved one, we can help, and we’d be very happy to discuss it with you.

Why you’re here

Our approach

We bring patients the most efficient diagnosis of any private memory clinic in the UK, to give you peace of mind, answers, and a way forward.

Our patients will have a dedicated specialist assigned to them throughout their time with us. This focus on continuity of care allows us to truly understand their needs, priorities, and concerns, not just as a patient, but as a person.

In doing so, we are able to treat you as a whole, as opposed to just your symptoms. This holistic approach which harnesses the latest skills and techniques of a range of professionals is results driven, tailored entirely to your needs, and has proven to be highly effective.

Our approach is unique, pioneering and unashamedly industry leading.

Our approach

Specialist led private treatment for dementia and memory problems

Our private memory clinic prides itself on giving you a reliable diagnosis of memory problems. After which, we will develop a highly personalised management strategy, based on your needs, preferences and the latest scientific research. This will help you develop strategies to improve your brain health.

What does the Memory Clinic offer?

Investigation and Assessment

Cognitive blood test panel — these screen for common, easily treatable causes of memory problems, like vitamin deficiencies.

Cognitive tests — these provide an objective assessment of your memory and thinking and include verbal and written questions.

Advanced brain imaging — these look at the brain from a structural point of view, to see whether that might be what’s causing your symptoms. An MRI scan is an example of brain imaging.

Your MRI scan will take place at our  prestigious Imaging and Diagnostic Centre at our 9 Harley Street Clinic.

Please note, other options can be discussed if an MRI is not suitable.

Investigation and Assessment

Diagnosis

After the diagnosis, patients will receive a comprehensive diagnostic report along with a personalised management plan tailored to their personal needs.

Diagnosis

Treatment

Following your diagnosis, you’ll have a feedback consultation to discuss your results with our memory specialist to talk you through your options.

This conversation will include advice about:

• How we can best support you and/or your loved one
• How to reduce your risk of Alzheimer’s and other dementias by leading a ‘brain healthy’ life
• How cognitive enhancing medication can sometimes be a helpful option

With your permission, we can then provide your GP with a detailed report about your diagnosis and management plan, so we’re all on the same page, working together.

Treatment

Ongoing care

Whether for yourself or a loved one, the patients journey doesn’t end with a diagnosis. Many of our patients choose to stay connected with us for ongoing support and care. We provide regular follow ups to help manage symptoms and ensure they receive the care they need. We’ll be here every step of the way.
