A Review of Your Medical History

A specialist Doctor goes through your personal and family health history to identify any predispositions or ongoing issues. This allows the assessment to be tailored to areas where you’re at higher risk.

Cardiologist Consultation

An in person consultation with a specialist cardiologist gives you the chance to discuss your heart health in detail. The cardiologist will review your test results, assess any symptoms or risk factors, and provide tailored advice or next steps. This face to face consultation ensures you get expert guidance and reassurance, with a clear plan if further investigations or treatments are needed.

Comprehensive Blood Tests

A wide range of blood tests are carried out to provide a full picture of your internal health. These include checks for cholesterol and lipid profiles (to assess cardiovascular risk), blood sugar levels (for diabetes screening), liver and kidney function, thyroid activity, vitamin and hormone levels, and full blood counts to detect anaemia or infection. By covering multiple systems in one panel, blood tests can uncover hidden issues early and guide personalised recommendations for lifestyle or treatment.

Urine Tests

Your urine is examined to spot signs of kidney issues, urinary tract infections, diabetes, or other metabolic concerns. It’s a helpful diagnostic tool for detecting both acute and chronic conditions.

Blood Pressure Check

This measures the force of blood against your artery walls to detect hypertension or hypotension. It’s a quick yet vital check that indicates cardiovascular health and potential strain on your heart.

BMI Check

Your body mass index is calculated by measuring your height and weight. This helps assess whether you’re within a healthy weight range and identify potential risk factors related to obesity or underweight.

Full Body* MRI Cancer Scan

Advanced MRI technology scans your body from head to mid thigh to screen for cancers in major organs like the brain, liver, pancreas, prostate, and bowel. Early detection of small lesions (around 1 cm) enables swift referral and intervention if needed.

It allows our expert radiologists to detect cancer lesions around 1 centimetre for peace of mind

* Our full body* MRI cancer Screening provides a comprehensive examination of organs from the head to the mid thigh, focusing on critical areas while excluding the skin and arms.

DEXA Body Composition

This scan measures the precise proportions of fat, muscle, and bone in your body. It provides a clear breakdown of your body composition, helping you understand your fitness, metabolism, and long-term health risks.

DEXA Osteoporosis

A bone density scan that measures the strength of your bones, particularly in the spine and hips. It helps detect osteoporosis or low bone mass early, allowing you to take steps to reduce fracture risk and maintain bone health as you age.

CT Calcium Score

This specialised scan measures the amount of calcium in the walls of your coronary arteries, which supply blood to the heart. The results provide an accurate assessment of your risk of heart disease by detecting early signs of atherosclerosis, even before symptoms appear. This allows for proactive lifestyle changes or treatment to reduce cardiovascular risk

CT Scan

A CT scan of your chest can identify any lung abnormalities. It will also check for any calcium deposits in your coronary arteries which can lead to blockages and heart disease.

MRI of the Brain

A detailed scan of the brain to check for abnormalities such as tumours, vascular issues, or unexplained neurological symptoms. It is useful for early detection of silent but serious conditions.

ECG

An ECG records the electrical activity of your heart through small sensors placed on your skin. It can show whether your heart is beating too fast, too slow, or irregularly, and can detect signs of poor blood flow, past heart attacks, or structural issues. It’s often the first step in identifying early heart disease before symptoms become noticeable.

Treadmill Test

This test monitors your heart while you walk on a treadmill, gradually increasing in speed and incline. It shows how well your heart responds to physical activity, helping to detect problems such as reduced blood flow to the heart muscle or abnormal rhythms that may not appear at rest.

Ultrasound of the Abdomen and Pelvis

Scans of your abdomen and pelvis will assess the surrounding organs to check for lumps, cysts and aneurysms.

Tests for Women - Breast Ultrasound or Mammogram

A clinical breast examination is performed to check for any lumps, thickening, or changes in breast tissue. For women under 40, you will have ultrasound scan of the breast and for woman over 40 you will have a mammogram , which provides a clear picture of the internal breast structure. These combined tests are designed to detect benign conditions or early signs of breast cancer, ensuring reassurance and swift referral if anything unusual is found.

Tests for Men - Testicular Ultrasound

A physical examination of the scrotum and testicles is carried out to check for any lumps, swelling, or abnormalities. This is followed by an ultrasound scan, which uses sound waves to create detailed images of the testicular tissue. Together, these tests help detect conditions such as cysts, varicoceles, or early signs of testicular cancer, offering reassurance and enabling early intervention if needed.

Eye Pressure Check

Eye pressure checks help detect glaucoma. Our skilled specialists use advanced technology to measure the pressure inside your eyes, known as intraocular pressure (IOP), which is a critical factor in identifying glaucoma.

Memory Assessments

Memory assessments provide a comprehensive and compassionate service for individuals experiencing memory issues or cognitive changes. The service supports those with concerns ranging from general forgetfulness to symptoms that may suggest dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease.
