Phoenix Hospital Group is a dynamic, fast growing independent hospital group which currently operates two hospitals in central London and Essex and two Harley Street outpatient and diagnostic centres. It has ambitious plans to grow and is now keen to appoint an exceptional Sales and Marketing Director to support the next stage of its development.

With responsibility for all our sales, marketing, communications and engagement programmes, the successful candidate will be an experienced, highly motivated sales and marketing professional with impeccable credentials, a focus on integrity and delivery with extremely strong and demonstrable leadership skills. With an ethos emphasising success and quality, the Sales and Marketing Director will ensure our customers and stakeholders understand what we do and how well we do it using a range of channels including digital. We want to be bold, creative and confident in our engagement and we want a candidate who can represent and articulate that approach.

Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Committee, the successful candidate will ensure the effective development and implementation of the Sales and Marketing Plan embedding clear brand values and sales and marketing principles and practice across the organisation. The successful candidate will lead our marketing and business development teams as well as our patient and consultant fulfilment services.  We want an excellent leader who is able to inspire as well as showing outstanding technical abilities. The job holder will be part of the leadership team building the group for the future.

Key Duties include

  • Ensure best in class patient and stakeholder engagement
  • Develop, implement and manage the marketing strategy
  • Develop and lead on a range of Business Development initiatives
  • Deliver a culture of excellence and innovation in all stakeholder and patient engagement
  • Plan, implement and manage marketing and lead campaigns and measure results
  • Manage all digital aspects including PPC, SEO and websites
  • Develop and maintain a consistent corporate image and ensure that the brand is well communicated across all channels
  • Build the profile and reach of Phoenix Hospital Group across UK healthcare and internationally
  • Develop, implement and manage sales forecasting activities, targets, sectors, markets, territories and set performance goals to achieve company objectives
  • Lead the customer contact and fulfilment teams to ensure we delight our customers and deliver against our business plans
  • Review and analyse sales performance against plans to determine effectiveness
  • To regularly review suppliers of digital services, ensuring quality and value for money
  • Direct staff, training and performance evaluations to develop and control sales and marketing programmes

Qualifications/Experience Required

  • Experience within private healthcare is essential
  • A degree in marketing, communications, public relations, business administration, advertising or related field is required
  • CIM qualified strongly preferred
  • A proven track record of success in marketing and sales
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge and application of a wide range of marketing and sales techniques and concepts
  • Enthusiastic and creative
  • Brilliant communicator
  • Strategic planning skills

Salary: Highly Competitive (dependent on experience)
