Phoenix Hospital Group is a dynamic, fast growing Independent Hospital Group which currently operates two hospitals in Central London and Essex and two Harley Street outpatient and diagnostic centres. It has ambitious plans to grow and is now keen to appoint an exceptional Head of Quality, Governance and Risk to support the next stage of its development.

The successful candidate will provide clinical governance leadership across the group including developing and maintaining a robust clinical governance and quality framework. A qualified nurse or other healthcare professional, the job holder will inspire and lead to achieve clinical governance excellence. The role is also accountable for CQC compliance  and will be involved in a broad range of responsibilities including clinical audit, the development of our training programme, nurse development and incident review and learning. The job holder will have a close working relationship with the senior team and will be part of the management structure building the group for the future.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Take responsibility for compliance with health and safety, quality, governance, policies and procedure.
  • Be accountable for clinical departments achieving compliance to internal audits and internal and external inspections (including CQC).
  • First point of contact with the CQC and act as a lead for ensuring all services are legally registered within the statutory and regulatory frameworks and are meeting the CQC essential standards and outcomes.
  • To support the Chief Executive and Medical Director in the delivery of best in class clinical governance and risk management priorities across Phoenix Hospital Group.
  • To represent PHG on quality, governance and safety structures and to ensure that the PHG governance, risk and quality strategy is embedded in all facilities.
  • To manage the development and implementation of governance policies and procedures in line with current good practice, and to identify and advise on governance issues, as required
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of the Risk Management Strategy, and as such will advocate and sponsor risk control and prevention strategies that integrate risk management consideration into everyday management.

Salary: Highly Competitive (dependent on experience)
