Phoenix Hospital Group is one of the UKs leading private healthcare providers with a state of the art hospital on Weymouth Street in central London, a new hospital in Chelmsford and prestigious consulting rooms at 9 and 25 Harley Street.

We are currently looking for a Business Development Assistant to join our team.

The Business Development Assistant will help the team with daily activities to develop and implement growth plans and strategies for specific Phoenix services. This role will be an excellent entry-level position to a career in Business Development, Sales and Marketing. The role will involve daily sales and follow-up calls to potential clients and building a database of contacts. The role will involve chaperoning patients and direct engagement with patients.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Promoting and developing new clients for Phoenix services, specifically Pathology and Diagnostic Imaging.
  • Developing a database of contacts of private clinics and their requirements.
  • Daily sales calls and emails to potential clients
  • Being the first point of contact for new clients and patients
  • Organise the booking of the Health Screening Patients
  • Chaperoning of the Health Screening Patients.
  • Provide feedback and market intelligence to the company on what clients require and what other providers are offering.
  • Providing support for Business Development events as required
  • Assist with the collation of information for promotional literature
  • Responsible for the distribution of promotional materials to clients.
  • Collaborating with the Business Development manager, internal teams, clients and partners on Business Development strategy
  • Helping identify Business Development trends and key opportunities for innovation
  • Working closely with bookings and diagnostics department and assisting with patient queries.
  • Maintain a complete understanding of Phoenix services and brand
  • General office duties and providing general administrative support
  • Creating and interpreting a variety of reports
  • Email Business Development

Skills and Experience

  • Excellent communication skills are essential

  • Microsoft Office skills essential (particularly Word, Powerpoint, and Excel)
  • Strong written and verbal communication is essential

  • ‘Can do’ attitude and willingness to learn, with a positive and flexible attitude to get the job done
  • Ability to communicate across all levels of the business

  • Educated to degree level

Salary: up to £24,000 per annum
