Operating in central London, Phoenix Hospital Group provides hospital and diagnostic services within the private healthcare market and is renowned for the quality and range of services provided.

We are looking for a Bookings Coordinator to join our team.

The Bookings Coordinator will provide administrative support of the highest quality within the Bookings and Reception Team focusing on providing a professional, efficient service to Consultants, Practice Managers and patients.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide full Bookings Coordinator support within the Reservations team;
  • Management of case bookings, communicating with patients, consultants and their practice managers to facilitate these;
  • To respond in a timely manner to pricing enquiries using the standard chargemaster and escalating any pricing issues where further advice is required;
  • To ensure a professional and courteous manner to all customers i.e. patients, GP’s, Consultant, secretaries and all other visitors to the department.
  • Ensure that the booking of inpatient bookings are as efficient and thorough as possible, taking full patient details at the first point of contact either by telephone or in person in compliance with minimum data set requirements;
  • Accurately register new patients and maintain correct data;
  • To ensure the hospital team are kept informed of all issues relating to the consultant requirements, Surgical Lists and other bookings;
  • Communicate effectively and sensitively with patients and ensure the highest customer quality care and confidentiality;
  • To ensure confidentiality at all times;
  • To perform any other duties as required within capability;
  • To promote the services of the department to new and existing Consultants and patients to encourage smooth processes and continue to drive volume through the department;
  • Responsible for greeting and providing customer service for patients and visitors when at Reception whilst operating the switchboard quickly and efficiently to both internal and external customers.

Skills & Experience

  • Educated to A-Level standard as a minimum (or equivalent);
  • Experience of working in an administrative capacity within a private, NHS or primary care setting;
  • Highly organised and professional at all times;
  • Dependable;
  • Impeccable telephone manner;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to prioritise workload;
  • Good level of numeracy as well as a good and accurate typing speed;
  • Excellent Customer service skills essential;
  • Experience with Compucare highly desirable.

Salary – up to £30,000 per annum depending on experience
