Anterior Repair Of The Vagina Wall
This gynaecological surgery tightens the front (anterior) wall of the vagina. The procedure is used to repair sinking of the vaginal wall (prolapse) or bulging that occurs when the bladder or urethra sink into the vagina.
Cosmetic Gynaecology
We offer a wide range of cosmetic gynaecology procedures including labiaplasty.
Diagnostic Laparoscopy And Dye Test
Pelvic laparoscopy is surgery to examine pelvic organs. It is a common procedure for our consultant gynaecologists. It uses a viewing tool called a laparoscope. The surgery is also used to treat certain diseases of the pelvic organs. This procedure can be conducted with access surgery which is minimally invasive and usually requires only a small incision.
Excision Of Bartholins Cyst
Bartholin abscess is the buildup of pus that forms a lump in one of the Bartholin glands. These glands are found on each side of the vaginal opening. These cysts can be excised.
Hysterectomy
A Hysterectomy is surgery to remove a woman’s uterus or womb. The uterus is the place where a baby grows when a woman is pregnant. After a hysterectomy, you no longer have menstrual periods and can’t become pregnant. Sometimes the surgery also removes the ovaries and fallopian tubes.
Inserting A Tension-Free Vaginal Tape
Placement of tension-free vaginal tape is surgery to help control stress urinary incontinence. This is urine leakage that happens when you laugh, cough, sneeze, lift things, or exercise. The surgery helps close your urethra and bladder neck. The urethra is the tube that carries urine from the bladder to the outside. The bladder neck is the part of the bladder that connects to the urethra.
Laparoscopic Myomectomy
In laparoscopic or robotic myomectomy, minimally invasive procedures, your surgeon accesses and removes fibroids through several small abdominal incisions.
Laparoscopic Sterilisation
Sterilisation by laparoscopy is a common procedure used to perform tubal ligation in women. Tubal ligation is a method of sterilisation that involves obstruction of the fallopian tubes.
Posterior Repair Of The Vagina Wall
Using a vaginal approach, surgery usually consists of removing excess, stretched tissue that forms the posterior prolapse. Occasionally, the surgical repair may involve using a mesh patch to support and strengthen the wall between the rectum and vagina.
Uro-Gynaecology
Uro-gynaecologists diagnose and treat women who have complex conditions of the pelvic floor. These conditions include urinary and fecal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, vaginal fistulas and congenital anomalies.
