What does it include?

Full Body* Cancer MRI Plus Health Screening combines two of our services, offering a comprehensive health screening for busy professionals without immediate health issues. This health screening assesses overall health and detects potential diseases before symptoms appear. Our Full Body* Cancer MRI Screening utilises an advanced MRI scanning technique for individuals without symptoms, but with concerns about cancer history or a desire for peace of mind. If any abnormalities are found, you’ll be smoothly referred to an appropriate specialist.

Ultrasound of the abdomen and pelvis

This ultrasound evaluates organs like kidneys, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, and spleen, searching for lumps, cysts, aneurysms, and other irregularities. Ultrasound is safe, non-intrusive, and radiation-free.

To ensure accurate results, fasting for six hours before the scan is required to prevent food interference in the digestive tract. For pelvic scans, drinking 4-6 cups of water beforehand is necessary to maintain a full bladder.

During the procedure, you’ll recline in a warm room while ultrasound jelly is applied.

Blood Test Details

Haematology
Biochemistry
Endocrinology
Urinalysis

Includes full blood count. This checks the types and number of cells in your blood, including red and white blood cells and platelets. This is a useful indicator of your general health and can help detect a wide range of medical disorders. If an abnormality is found, your doctor will likely send you for further diagnostic tests to help find the underlying problem.

  • Kidney Function Test assesses the kidney’s filtration of blood and the body’s electrolyte and mineral balance.
  • Liver Function Tests – This test evaluates enzymes and proteins produced by the liver, providing insights into the liver’s function and detecting any potential liver cell damage.
  • Bone Health – This profile incorporates calcium and uric acid, which offer valuable insights into your bone health.
  • Diabetes – This profile includes glycated hemoglobin to show your blood sugar control over the past 3 months, and direct blood glucose level indicates your current blood sugar level on the day of the test.
  • Lipid Profile – Measures the amount of good and bad cholesterol in the circulation.
  • Iron Status – This profile assesses both direct iron levels and ferritin levels. Low iron and ferritin could suggest iron deficiency anemia, potentially explaining symptoms like tiredness, exhaustion, and breathlessness.
  • Inflammatory Marker – C-reactive protein serves as an inflammation marker in the body, aiding in the identification of infections and monitoring the response to treatment for infections or inflammatory conditions.
  • Vitamin D – Vitamin D plays a crucial role in regulating the absorption of calcium, phosphate, and magnesium in the gut, essential for bone growth and overall bone health. It can be a valuable investigation in certain types of bone diseases or gastrointestinal disorders.
  • Thyroid Function- This profile measures Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) and Thyroxine (T4) to indicate if the thyroid is over or under active.
  • CA 125- The tumour marker to detect or monitor ovarian cancer. (Female only)
  • Testosterone- Measuring testosterone can help to identify the cause of erectile dysfunction, infertility, premature/delayed puberty or the male menopause. (Male only)
  • Prostate Screen (Prostate Specific Antigen)- A blood test to help detect or monitor prostate cancer. (Male only)

This is a urine test to screen for a wide range of disorders including a urinary tract infection, kidney disease and diabetes. If an abnormality is found, results are analysed in conjunction with results from other diagnostic tests to help identify the underlying problem.
