Your nose takes centre stage when it comes to your appearance and affects not just your face’s symmetry but your profile as well. Getting the right care when you undergo nose surgery is paramount. Our leading rhinoplasty consultants carry out procedures with unparalleled care and precision to ensure great results.

Why Rhinoplasty?

There are many reasons for undergoing rhinoplasty surgery. These could include a history of trauma, such as a broken nose, whether from sport or an accident that has caused disproportion in the nose. Breathing issues and snoring may be a concern, and at times can result from trauma themselves.

Many of our London rhinoplasty patients are unhappy with the profile or shape of their nose, and look for surgery to bring all their facial features into harmony. Regardless of your reasons, our specialist team will meet with you to discuss your options before agreeing on how to move forward.

Your Rhinoplasty Consultation

Whilst it is common to focus on the surgery itself, it is just as important to have a thorough consultation beforehand. We listen to your concerns and expectations before marrying that with our expertise and guidance. There are a number of different types of nose job procedure. Your surgeon will be able to make recommendations on what’s best for you.

Our skilled surgeons will advise on which changes will be both safe and stable before going through the details of your operation with you. A thorough examination of the skin and nose and an understanding of your desired result will inform us as to the best procedure for you.

The Day of your Rhinoplasty Surgery

Your surgery will require general anaesthetic, so you will be asleep for the entire procedure. Surgery generally takes around 2 hours, depending on the type of surgery you are having and the particular details of your case. Nose surgery is a precise art which requires an experienced and knowledgeable surgeon.

Due to the use of anaesthetic, after the operation most patients will stay for a night in hospital. This will depend both on your recovery and on the exact nature of your operation. You can discuss this with your surgeon at any time.

Rhinoplasty Techniques

There are three main rhinoplasty techniques used: nose reduction, septorhinoplasty and rhino tip. One of our experienced surgeons will review your personal needs and discuss with you which method will bring about the best results.

In general, a septorhinoplasty is used to align or straighten the bridge of your nose. If you wish to reduce the profile and size of the bridge then a reduction rhinoplasty is recommended. A rhino tip, as the name suggests, alters the shape and appearance of your nose tip.

Recovery & Aftercare

We recommend that you take some time at home to recover after the operation. You should not experience anything more than mild discomfort upon discharge from hospital.

To protect the nose and its healing process we advise not to do any heavy lifting in the days following surgery. To keep blood pressure low, any vigorous exercise is also to be avoided for 4-6 weeks.

Closed rhinoplasty, which only makes incisions inside the nose, does not leave any scars. More complex surgeries require open rhinoplasty which leaves a small scar which will fade with time.

Cost

We will always be transparent about the price of your procedure. We only charge based on the treatment you are receiving with no hidden costs. The price will be confirmed after our initial consultation and examination with you. Once we have agreed a price with you that is the price you will pay.
