Role: Senior Healthcare Assistant.
Location: Phoenix Hospital Chelmsford, Essex.
Work hours: 37.5hrs per week Monday to Friday and occasional Saturdays
Annual Leave: 33 days inclusive of bank holidays
Contract: Fixed-Term contract of 12 months
Salary: 26-27K dependant on skillset and experience

Phoenix Hospital Chelmsford has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our friendly and dynamic team on a fixed term contract of 12 months. They will have superb organisational skills and will relish a challenge within a fast paced environment with like minded people.
Reporting to the Ward Manager, the successful Senior Healthcare Assistant will be required to provide the highest standard of individualised patient care as part of the clinical team, including:
- Assisting our consultants and nurses during their clinics with chaperoning, ultrasound scans, minor op procedures, dressing changes, phlebotomy and much more.
- Ensuring stocking is always accurate, clinics set up for every consultant and ensure Equipment is working and safe to use.
- Taking part in audits and admin work.
- Promoting customer service and patient care.
- Acting as part of a team and promote good team work across all teams.
Required qualifications, skills & knowledge
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a healthcare assistant
- Experience from the private sector a benefit
- Experience within one or more of the following areas: Gynaecology, theatre/minor operations, cosmetic surgery.
- Skilled in venepuncture
- High level of communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of customer care
- IT skills
- Ability to demonstrate an understanding of safeguarding principles and practices, ensuring the protection of vulnerable individuals.
