Role: Outpatients Clinic Manager

Location: London

The salary for this role is £45,000 per annum plus excellent benefits

 

Phoenix Hospital Group is a dynamic, fast growing independent hospital group which currently operates two hospitals in central London and Essex and two Harley Street outpatient and diagnostic centres. It has ambitious plans to grow and is now keen to appoint an exceptional Outpatients Clinic Manager to support the next stage of its development.

The post holder will be responsible for all non-clinical services within our two prestigious Harley Street buildings. Providing exceptional customer care, the job holder will manage a number of key functions including front of house, housekeeping, facilities and the allocation of consulting rooms for our consultants. The role will be supported and work closely with our teams in finance, facilities, nursing and clinical services.

You will need to be a highly efficient, forward thinking individual who is an outstanding communicator and problem solver. An ambassador of the highest quality and credibility, the job holder contributes significantly to the ongoing success of Phoenix Hospital Group.

Duties & Responsibilities include but not limited to

  • Oversight and management of the Outpatient buildings;
  • Act as an ambassador of the highest quality in all dealings including with Consultants, referrers and patients;
  • Work in partnership with Heads of Departments in Imaging, Housekeeping, Facilities and Front of House to shape and develop services and care;
  • Ensure all payments are collected by the front of house team at the time of the appointment;
  • Manage all aspects of day to day management of the Outpatient clinics and staff, providing strong visible leadership;
  • Accountable for key deliverables such as commercial growth, CQC compliance, operational efficiency and high quality patient centred care;
  • Manage staff, to ensure the appropriate cover is available for efficient running of the clinics, operational and strategic responsibility of delivering exceptional customer service and patient’s safety and care;
  • Monitor day to day delivery of the services to maintain or improve quality, review business performance and ensure delivery of key financial targets;
  • Maintain strong and effective relationships and dialogue with all consultants who deliver patients services;
  • Provide first point of contact for patients, relatives, G.Ps’, Clinic’s staff and other professional bodies for written and telephone enquiries relating to the Consultant’s practice;
  • Ensure the efficient management of consulting rooms and other Outpatients areas;
  • Working with the CQC registered manager to ensure continued compliance and preparation for regulatory inspections;
  • Continuously evaluating and suggesting improvements in pathways and processes to ensure the highest level patient and consultant experience

Skills and Experience

  • Experience of working in a 5 star service environment is essential
  • At least 2 years’ experience managing a complex team in a customer service oriented environment
  • Healthcare management experience is strongly desirable
  • Experience in a supervisory role managing staff
  • Good communication, presentation and outstanding organizational skills
  • Flexible approach to staff development, skills mix and working practices
  • Familiarity with CQC inspections and processes
  • Change management experience
  • Budget management experience
  • Strong sense of patient focus and delivering exception customer service in a hospital setting
