Role: Marketing Assistant

Reports to: Senior Marketing Executive

Location: Head Office, Harley Street

Salary: £24,000

Hours of work: 9-5.30 Monday to Friday

Contract: Fixed term contract 12-14 months

 

The purpose of the role

Phoenix Hospital Group is looking for a Marketing Assistant to assist the marketing team in daily marketing activities and to develop and implement marketing plans and strategies for our brands. This role is a great entry level position for a recent graduate or somebody in the early stages of their career who has a genuine interest in all things marketing.

 

About you

You will ideally have a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field. Prior work experience in marketing, administration or sales is a plus. Effective written and verbal communication skills and a high level of attention to detail are both important keys to success in this role. You will be enthusiastic and able to work effectively as both an individual and as part of a small team.

 

Main duties

  • Assisting with the production of marketing materials and literature – producing engaging copy
  • Assisting with website updates (previous experience with WordPress is an advantage)
  • Providing support for company events as required – organising and hosting events
  • Updating and maintaining the marketing department’s folders and database
  • Working closely with internal and external stakeholders (other departments, consultants, printers, partnerships etc)
  • Providing ad-hoc administrative support to the marketing team where necessary
  • Assisting with social media platforms – creating copy, posting and engagement
  • Assisting with email marketing campaigns and newsletters – contacting various stakeholders for content
  • Competitor research – researching new digital trends and competitor analysis
  • Assisting with video and photoshoots

 

 

Skills and Experience

  • Excellent copywriting skills (essential) – able to produce engaging copy for blog posts, website content, social media etc.
  • Strong written and verbal communication (essential)
  • Microsoft Office experience (essential) – word, powerpoint, outlook and excel
  • Independent worker who is self-sufficient but can also work great in a small team (essential)
  • Multi-tasker – the ability to work on multiple projects at once (essential)
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise tasks (essential)
  • Ability to communicate across all levels of the business (essential)
  • Experience with a CRM system, in particular WordPress (desirable)
  • Graphic design – previous experience with Canva is an advantage (desirable)
