Phoenix Pathology is a multidisciplinary laboratory located in the world-renowned Harley Street in London. The laboratory was established in 2016 and together with UKAS accredited laboratory partners, provides a comprehensive diagnostic service offering routine and specialised tests in all disciplines.

Phoenix Pathology is seeking a dedicated Laboratory Associate Practitioner, Quality and EQA officer to join our team at our state-of-the-art facility on Harley Street. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced and innovative pathology service, delivering high-quality diagnostic testing.

Key Responsibilities:

 Working closely to Biomedical Scientists and Laboratory manager ensuring the delivery of a safe and efficient service.

  • Assist in the processing of laboratory samples following standard operating procedures.
  • Analyser operation and basic troubleshooting under the supervision of scientists.
  • Support the laboratory manager maintaining an excellent Quality Management System with compliance with ISO 15189 standards.
  • Be responsible for the running of all EQA samples, acting on poor performance under the supervision of the laboratory manager and ensuring the data is presented to consultants in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a safe and efficient laboratory environment.

Requirements:

  • A relevant science-based qualification (e.g., BSc Biomedical Science or equivalent experience).
  • At least 2 years laboratory experience.
  • Understanding of laboratory quality standards, including ISO 15189.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
