Role: Health Screening Patient Co-ordinator  

Location:  London

The salary for this role is up to £25,500  per annum + benefits


The purpose of the role

  • To handle all Health Screening patients, from initial enquiry through to the screening appointments and delivery of results.
  • To assist with booking all general outpatient enquiries and convert all telephone and email enquiries into appointments, while providing excellent customer service and care.
  • To support the team of GP’s, Consultants, radiographers and nurses by chaperoning patients during their health screen pathway
  • Follow up and manage the administration and patient aftercare process.

About you

The successful candidate will be highly organised, presentable and reliable. They must have a good understanding, ability and desire to deliver high end customer service. They will be driven to meet and exceed targets whilst working together in a team environment. They must be proactive in their approach to ensure a smooth and superior service is provided whilst meeting targets and helping grow business.

Duties include but are not limited to

  • Providing the first point of contact for Patients, Consultants, Practice Managers, handling all external patient enquiries via both the telephone and email
  • To promote and sell the benefits of choosing Phoenix Hospital Group, specifically the Health Screening service
  • To work as part of the bookings team to ensure all calls and enquiries are answered quickly, efficiently and within appropriate timeframes whilst providing a high quality and professional service
  • To update the enquiry database and to maintain/exceed a minimum booking rate (targets to be agreed)
  • To ensure all outpatient appointments are booked as required
  • To assist patients by chaperoning, liaising with specialists and clinical staff both pre and post health screens
  • To ensure that rooms are set up and all equipment is made available to GP’s pre health screen to ensure a smooth service is provided
  • To ensure all payments are taken and reports and referral letters and written and disseminated within the required time frames
  • To liaise with the bookings team, nurses and radiographers to ensure diagnostic diaries are optimised and as much availability is created to ensure patient needs are met
  • Administrative tasks associated with patient letters, reports and any other documentation are completed
  • To support the bookings team and other departments
  • Be the face of Health Screening at Phoenix and promote the service
  • To ensure GDPR and all other legislative laws are adhered to

Required skills & experience

  • Educated to a GCSE standard as a minimum (or equivalent)
  • Private health care experience preferable
  • Excellent telephone and customer service manner
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Understanding of cosmetic surgery preferable
  • Sales background desirable
