Role:  Business Development Manager

Phoenix Hospital Group is a dynamic, fast growing independent hospital group which currently operates two hospitals in central London and Essex and two Harley Street outpatient and diagnostic centres. It has ambitious plans to grow and is now keen to appoint an exceptional Business Development Manager to support the next stage of its development.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for increasing revenue from existing Health Screening Services and generating new income streams and activity for Phoenix Hospital Group (PHG).

About you

We are looking for someone who has high business acumen and a track record of developing new business from inception to delivery, using a collaborative approach. You will have outstanding interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. You will be someone who takes pride in delighting patients through exceptional care and have highly developed customer service leadership skills. Being sensitive to patient and consultant needs will be at the core of everything you do.

Core Responsibilities

  • To manage and increase revenue from existing Health Screening and GP Services
  • To identify new business opportunities that will generate additional revenue for PHG
  • To set up and implement new services by liaising with relevant clinicians, operational colleagues, and support teams
  • To develop detailed business development plans for all existing and new services
  • To develop and implement marketing activity to promote existing/new services by working collaboratively with the marketing team
  • To strive to continually improve new and existing services by conducting regular reviews, including feedback from clinicians and patients
  • To generate regular reports to show the business growth status for each service
  • To be an ambassador for Phoenix Hospital Group and to be champion for excellence in all activities
  • To undertake such other duties commensurate with the position as directed by the Marketing Director or Executive Committee

Required skills & experience

  • Experience of working in the private healthcare sector, preferably in another hospital or clinic location
  • A track record of developing new business from inception to delivery, using a collaborative approach
  • Outstanding interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong influencing and negotiating skills
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Independent worker who is self-sufficient
  • Excellent customer service leadership skills
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience
  • Microsoft Office skills (essential)
